1. Cyber-Physical Security
Ideal Profile:
- Cyber-security, information security, network security
- Cyber-security of industrial control systems
- Machine learning applications to cyber-security
- Familiarity with critical infrastructure systems such as the electricity grid
2. Electricity System Decentralized, Stochastic Optimization
Ideal Profile:
- Deep undersanding of Optimal Power Flow and Unit Commitment
- Decentralized Optimization
- Stochastic Optimization
- Expertise in large-scale computation
3. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Energy Systems
Ideal Profile:
- Strong Background in Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, LLMs
- Experience with Advanced Predictive Models
- Experience with ML applications to energy systems
- Strong software skills
4. Decentralized Power Electronics Control
Ideal Profile:
- Solid background in power system operations
- Solid background in power system stability
- Solid background in power electronics and DER controls
- Decentralized and networked control
5. Energy Robotics
Ideal Profile:
- Solid background in Robotics
- Pattern Recognition, Image processing, Control Systems
- Familiarty with mobile power applications
- Familiarity with electric grids or transportation systems
